Hey everone, i jsut bought an 01 green clock so i can do the mod on it so i dont have hte damn orange 04 clock anymore. My quesion is though, what is the color of the 04 clock whenu take the orange plastic off the front? Is it lit by orange leds or what? If its liek white or somehting i will use my 04 clock and put the clear plastic over it. Less filters to make it blue so more light. An anyone know???

for the 03^ clocks.. it is an orange piece of plastic that gives it the amber color.. the clock without the orange piece lights up a really light blue color and you can't change the lighting color

Right, thats why i was asking what the color or the clock without the orange plastic. I didn't want to change the lighting color. so if i take the clear 00 clock cover and put a piece of blue filter on it, that would look better then the green with a purple then blue filter. Do you know if the 00 plastic will fit the 04? Thanks billy for your help. Oh and about why not orange, becasue I am phasing out the orange from my car. All i will have left is the radio (getitng a new headunit eventually), window switch led, and HID aimer leds. Then i no more orange!!! woohoo Anyone taken apart the oem hid aimer thing to see if its leds or bulb? I will lookinto it prob this weekend but if anyone knows it woudl be helpful. -Dan

the 03+, or maybe 04+ gts's have the option of the stock HID headlight. It has a motorized aiming feature. U can aim them up and down by the little wheel on the left driver side. I jsut sit ant lights and aim it up and donw for the fun of it Kinda a neat feature. Had to use it when moving becsaue all the stuff in the back raised up my lights allot so aimed them down

Just get in there, unscrew what needs to be unscrewed or pulled to get to the aimer thingy, remove it then disect the bastard. Sounds like an easy job
