VSGTS14 is right about the '02 and the other years, though the 2005 has had different opinions. Some people say theirs doesnt have a limiter, some say they do.

there isnt really a chip that will do it, but an ECM and knock sensor swap from a 00,01,or 03 model will work. The Power FC will also do it.

its only 00, or 01

03 is drive by wire and will not work.

03's do not have a rev limiter
the rev limiter just cuts fuel off earlier than expected...
all are 8350...the 02's and 05's cut off at 7800

I wish it was 100% yes, or 100% no on whether the '05 has the rev limiter. Some people say theirs goes above 7800, some say no.

if you get a 2001, you redline at 8k and fuel cuts off at 8350

you need the ecu AND the knock sensor which will erquire some re-wiring cuase they dont have the same amount of wires.

another option is to buy the power fc.

the "other" site has a very nice write up on how to do the swap.

It doesnt feel very strong on my car, or maybe it's just me.

does it matter whether you have an auto ecu or 6spd one if you are doing the swap to an 02 manual?

Get a manual for a manual; same for autos.
