i have been thinking about this a lot and im not sure what to do. Should i sell my celica and get a scion tc(with accessiories comes to about $19000)? Or should i just keep my celica. i've been saving up and by the end of this month i'll have nearly $3000. I planned on using that money for a body kit and mods but shoud i just put it towards the tc?? I love how they look and arnt as common as celicas. thanks for the help.

If you're looking for something better then the celica then the TC isn't really it, but if you really like it then go ahead because the TC is probably faster then your GT, and since Toyota seems to really be pushing for the TC, you will probably get more aftermarket backing for it in a couple of more years, whereas the Celica aftermarket is pretty much custom R&D like TPR. As of right now the TC already has as much if not more aftermarket backing then the Celica, so it's up to you.

I say keep it, if you think celicas are common now in a couple of years tcs are going to be everywhere, if you do end up trading it in you can do much better than a tc...

If you want an upgrade, get a Z or a G35. Those are both worthy upgrades from the GTS.
And please stop saying that Celicas are chicks car. Just because the design is different and most girls jocks it, does not make it a chicks car. Ferrari looks as flamboyant (sp) as the Celi and you don't see people calling it a chick's car (let's not mention the price difference).

oh man almost all of you said to keep the celica. I know the tc isnt that much better of an upgrade from my gt. i orginally wanted an is3000 or g35 but then i came to my senses and realized i cant afford that shit , im only 18, not now ne way. But of all the celicas that i see on the road a majority of them are driven by grls. And a tc with a kamiarira (sp) looks soo hot. then liek 5 years from now i'll get a g35. im still leaning towards the tc tho.

just get a saturn LS300 and put a big wing and exhaust on it. you'll get the same looks as you would with a tc with the body kit. The tc aint that great. I saw a silver one the other day. It reminded me of a strech echo. haha Im stupid
cant say ive done that before... ahh crap

It seems that you are very much leaning towards trading it in. My best suggestion now is for you to just sign up on a tC forum and post this question and see what the responses are. People there will most likely side with you.

why would you want to down grade.. a tc for a celica.. makes no sense. the celica always own the tc no matter what. Im sure about 98% of the people on here will agree.

Celicas are common here where I go to school, but overall in general they're not too common. Keep the Celica. The tC looks very "sedan'ish" even though it's a coupe. And just think of what you can put that extra $2000 into if you didn't get the kit (& painted) for the tC. But to each his own.

dude, you will be spending a lot of money if you get now a tc then 5 years later get a g35. I will keep the celica which looks better than the tc, obviously you will pay off the celica before the tc and then save for the g35 for five years.
Give a little bit of value to your money!
Keep the celica!

i like the tc thats why toyota quit making celica b/c the tc is replacing it also you can well at mine place at of work (toyota dealership) you make your own and order it... with supercharger intake exhaust and someother stuff... also that way all that stuff is legal because in my town anything you add after that is ilegal (which the cops arent hard about it).

i own both and honestly i think you should stick to the celica the tc has a larger 2.4 liter engine which will equal more horsepower down the line but with the way you plan things you will not have the car down the line the celica is a better car for you in my opinion and you should stick with it have fun with the celica

Dude, if you want the tc that much get it, do what makes you happy, not a bunch of people your probably never going to meet in your life. Personally I think it's a bonehead move, but that's just me. And as for your comment on the celica being a chic car just look at the guy to girl ratio on this sight...

LOL you guys are rite, the celica is a great car and better than the tc. It was only after i road in a tc was i reminded of this. I wasnt impressed with the interior at all . it was really plain and preferred the celica's over the tc's. I guess i was just fooled by its good exterior. im just discouraged rite now with my gt cuase i have big dent on my driver side door but the guy at the shop wont fix it till spring cuase hes a llazy douche. on top of that my car is dirty as hell from all the salt build up from the roads. and i cnat even wash it cuase my hose is broke due to the pipe freezing and crackin. But i just ordered a trd style spoiler for my car and am goin to spend my saved up money making it look awesome and not liek all the stock celica's i see out there.
