From Autoweek Magazine: Lexus has tapped Rod Millen to assemble it's IS430 muscle car, which should be completed by this Fall. The v8 will not be supercharged or turbocharged but will get enough to put out 350-360hp! The power will run through a Getrag 6 speed manual to a drivetrain upgraded to handle the extra power.

AFInsider-

It was TTE, Team Toyota Europe, that put together the conceptual IS 430 that gained the interest of many Lexus enthusiasts. Since then, the anticipation of a V8 powered IS has been great amongst the Lexus community. Probably as a teaser, Lexus is asking Rod Millen to put together an IS 430 pushing out near 350 horses without any forced induction.

Power will be pushed through a Getrag 6-speed manual with an upgraded drivetrain to handle the extra power. Bigger brakes and even 18" wheels will also be an addition to the sporty look of the IS 430.
Is Lexus teasing us right now before the production version of the IS 430 becomes available?

not many imports like to use v-8's..i guess its a heritage thing.
ya it is heritage or tradition or even stereotype. but damn . . . once you feel torque (like i did when i rode in an '03 cobra), you will forever be wanting more!

yeah, one of my friends just bought one of the older 5.0 'stangs...it left me feelin slow in my celica and wishin i had rwd!
