i cant decide what percent to get im thinkin either 20 all around or 20% front 15% rear... ideas comments?

I think the highest tint you can have legally will look the best.

I have to agree. I had lower than legal tint, and I got busted. It's just not worth the hassle to have tint that's legally too low. However, see if your state has medical exemption to allow for lower levels. I have a carbon blue GT with mirror tint. It looked HOT!!

Unfortunately, you can only have 70% all around. That'll just take the edge off the sun. It'll look smoky at best. Good luck though!!

I have 20% all around, its alil bit illegal because my passenger and driver side windows are tinted the same as the back and the smaller windows...I tried to go legal but the guys told me that the drivers side and passenger sides need to be lighter the the rest but those are like the major windows on the car lol so i said F it and went illegal lol

i know 35% is still illegal but isnt that the darkest people usually go thats illegal and still dont get bothered by the cops

i really like my setup:

rear windshield -> 15%
2 rear triangles -> 5%
front side windows -> 35%

im gonna get the front winshield tinted 50% soon

I have 13% on 3 back windows & strip on winshield(which I would def. recommend) and 32% on front sides. The 32% is illegal, but i've passed by many cops so far and haven't gotten pulled over.

I have 5% all around with a 5% brow. Dr's note has me covered.. it reads that I have light sensitivity and recomends tent in excess of 5%. I told my DR that my celica is so low that the 18 wheelers blind me in my mirrors and it causes near misses on a weekley bases (i do most of my driving at night). I told her that I have been driving with the tint and love it I just needed to me legel.

Be sure they put it in your Medical File Just in case the police call the Dr's office. The prescription will have the dr's phone number on it and they might call to verify

i think ill go 30% to 35% front || 15% all around back...

my only question is, cant you tell the difference of the shades of tint when you mix them? would nt that look weirder than just one shade all around?

In Arizona I believe 5% all around is legal.

There's a list somewhere that specifies what's legal in each state. Arizona was 5% in the front and no restriction in the back.

lol this is a noob question but , what does the % mean . is 100% like abosoluttly (sp) black and 1% liek hardly a tint at all?i have tints too, and i kept it legal but i forgot wat i have, thanks.

The percentage is how much light is getting through. For example, 100% would be no tint at all, because 100% of the light is passing through, but 5% would mean that only 5% of light is getting through.

Haha, that's funny. When I got my Celi, I got it tinted, and just told them to put the maximum possible and still be legal (I'm in Arizona). I don't really know what I've got, but its pretty dark. Can I take to a tint shop and get it measured?

Umm, some tint shops have the right equipment for it...I'm not too familiar with how it works, but it measures the amount of light coming through the windshield.


BTW, when I said 5% front no limit rear, I mean 5% for the front side windows (not the windshield), and no limit for the back sides and the rear. It is illegal anywhere to tint your front windshield (with the exception of a small strip at the top in some states), and I really doubt any shop in their right mind would do it for you. Not to mention the fact that it would be very stupid, and you'd be pulled over for it and slapped with a fine.
