I pay $2400 a year just to drive. The bare minimal. It would cost me around $6000 a year for full coverage. Most of my insurance needs to be paid off in the first 6-7 months.
I have only 2 points on my license. Some points on my insurance will never be erased.

I got a DWI. I pulled a .10 twice. The legal limit in my state at the time (.1=5beers). The officer said my eyes were too red I'm going to have to take you in and if you pass the breathalyzer I'm going to give you a drug test after the field test that I passed. I was by myself at the time and did no harm than going 60mph in a 50 zone at 9:00 PM on a Friday.
All of which I agreed to because I didn't think I was over the limit and I don't do any illegal drugs and I wanted to cooperate.
What a shock. I even had to call my parents to come get me on their 30th anniversary night. No other option available and I tried. I was clean and drove straight and followed most of the traffic laws. The cop thought I pulled out of the local strip club and he saw the picture of my long hair on the license and it was all over. This is what he told me other than my funky eyes.

This is why I'm a hard ass when it comes to driving and substance abuse or just driving stupid.

That's my Mr. Roger's public message and good deed for the day.

$580 /mo.? That's ridiculous. U need to change insurance companies. Try Geico or something.

your insurance is most likely that cheap because you have a clean record... and only one car... that is a GT... (the "s" makes the insurance go up) and i'm assuming you're a male... and car insurance is cheaper for males than females...

most of the people with high car insurance either have speeding tickets, accidents, dui's, or multiple cars...

also the area you live in affects your car insurance rate... obviously...

I pay $200 a month to Allstate for an 01 Celica GTS, 1993 Nissan Altima and a 1993 3000gt VR4. But I'm a female 28 years old.

All 3 cars are fully insured 100/300/100 coverage and $250 deductibles.

i pay $230 a month...driving record is totally clean.

the reason my insurance is so high is because of where i live...in new orleans, 50% of the motorists are uninsured (even though thats against the law)...so the price of insurance is doubled to compensate for it

it's not. and it really does suck..i've gotten in two wrecks in new orleans and thankfully both of them had insurance. one was a russian immigrant and the other was a tourist from florida..so i lucked out.

as a rule of thumb..if the car that hit you isn't new, then it doesnt have insurance.

my bro actually lucked out once when he merged into another guy. he was uninsured so he didnt want the cops to come out so all my bro had to do was pay for his own damage.

you're wrong about males being cheaper. Males are always higher on insurance. Its pretty obvious. Guys drive much faster and race more often. It also depends where you live. Every state is different. I live close to philly plus my area alone is very populated. My insurance is like $2400/year, and i only have the GT and im 21. Clean record also. But what i dont understand is this guy lives in CA and is fully covered for $1356/year. That doesn't seem right. But i dont live in CA so i have no clue.

I'd have to agree with you there. Males are more expensive on auto insurance. I've found that from experience and also I know quite a few people that work with auto insurance.

Why I pay so much for insurance?

Well, seeing as money just falls out of my ass, I feel like paying this much. Ofcourse, it has NOTHING to do with the fact that the price I pay is the cheapest I could get for me, with my cars, living in my area. No. It's just 'cause I feel like paying that damn much. Yeah. That's what it is.

I called some insurance companies up, and they gave me way low quotes, so I said "fuckz all'z ya'll. I'z be da SHIT, and I'z needz to PAY foh mah shit beeehatches!"

Ask stupid questions, get stupid answers.

I don't think he meant it like that, I think he meant it like:
a) why is there such a difference between what he pays and everyone else.

well huh... i've always been told that women's insurance is higher because more women get into accidents (or at least claim them) than men... i dunno... it made sense to me... cause i would think insurance companies would be more worried about actual accidents rather than driving fast (which could LEAD to accidents... but are not accidents.. so insurance companies don't have to pay out anything for people just driving fast)

well i bought the car under my moms name, so im secondary insured driver, and thats how i pay 150$ a month.
socal, 20 year old, clean record.
it really depends of the insurance company policies, some companies have big price difference between gt and gts, some dont. some have more expensive prices for males at young age, 2dr, salvaged. AAA has great prices, so whoever doesnt like wut theyre paying should try giving AAA a call. plus i prefer their customer service over FARMERS which was literally 4 times more expensive.

I forgot to mention that I have the good student discount. If I didn't have that discount my insurance would be $150/month with the GT. When I had a GTS for a couple weeks, my insurance was $165/month so even with the GTS it's not that bad. BTW, I have allstate.

I have State Farm and I'm insured on my Celica, a RX300, G35 Coupe, and G35x (only as a primary driver on my Celica and secondary on the rest). I have so many discounts that it isn't even funny. In all I pay $134 a month.

My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10

I pay more cause its california an dim not 25 yet. It would be cheaper for me to insure a corvette z06 than my celi. Sport compacts suck at insurance. And I take it you go to UB ^^^. I just graduated from there last may and moved out to cali for work.

I have three cars, and a bike, and my deductable is $150!!!!, and i only pay 150 a month. And evertyhing but the bike is full coverage. So thats not bad, its a low as shit deductable too!! But 150 for 3 cars and a bike, you cant beat that. Oh and i start my insurance for my 65 mustang in april, so that i can start driving it, and its only going to go up, 10 bucks a month. I have never gotten any tickets, neither has my wife. But i just havent gotten caught yet. Ive had safe driver since 15. So im doing good!!

It might be the fact that I live in southern California. It might be the fact that I am not over 21 yet. Or maybe its the fact that its all of these factors. Dam insurance companies.
