http://turbomagazine.com/tech/0406tur_knight/Found this article on turbomagazine.com guess these little electric superchargers can really make some HP. 185hp outta a stock 110 hp nissan altima at 5psi is pretty nice. @ 5 psi a GTS should hit 250 or so HP. It requires some other parts like new batteries and an alternator, but it'd still be cheaper than a turbo kit or supercharger.

nevermind it's not that great.. reading site.. boosthead.com it's 1300 for the electric supercharger and for a new high output alternator I'm guessing 200-300 and for 2 or 3 optima yellow tops it'd be another 500 so 2000 for the setup and it only can be used in 15 second intervals so it's more like a lifetime supply of free refils on a nitrous tank. it's still cool though. It's only produced by one company and he has it patented though and it's fairly new. and it's got dyno proven 3rd party results so yes it does yeald real results. It'd be a few grand or two cheaper than a turbo, probably not really worth it, but it's deffinately cool and unique. but the article says that it's really a forced induction system for cars they don't make kits for.

it's like a concept car. it has a lot of cool stuff, and it shows off a lot of cool stuff to come, but isn't practical or effective (i made the reference because i'm going to the chicago auto show tomorrow, well technically it's later today)

i don't know 'bout tuning your car to 5psi to have it only last for fifteen second intervals. we'll have to see in like five years how re-charging technology improves...
