yes sorry, i was looking at getting a GTS but it's hard to find one with a manual trans, i'd obviously prefer a manual for the obvious reasons but all that seems to be for sale around here is automatics or sportshifts, i want one so bad that i guess i could setlle for a sportshift so long as they have the same 0-60 and 1/4 mile time

thanks for the effort, but i checked that one one nearly a month ago, the story behind it's low cost due to eyear mileage and model, is because the seller and car are both in romainia ... lol

that's not necessarily true. point and case is the GT (not sure if this applies to the GTS). the auto GT gets better mileage than the manual GT. not much, but still it's like 29-33 for the manual and like 32-36 for the auto.

I have yet to find a car magazine that has actually tested a auto GTS, so there is no 'official' numbers anywhere!

But if you look at the 1/4 mile registry here and other Celica forums, they are consitantly running about 16.5 to 16.8 in the 1/4 mile stock. So that would put 0-60 roughly at 8.5 seconds. You waste so much HP to the wheels with auto and even more importantly torque, so that's why it so slow.

can't afford to order a new one, strict $12k max budget with finacing so basically i need a dealer that is selling a used gts for $12k or less, and all i can find are automanuals and private sellers for my price :-/
