Correct me if I'm wrong, the 2003 GT HAS a Drive by Wire throttle, right?

NO, only the 2003 GTS. 2003 GT's have a throttle cable, pop off the engine plastic on the left side of the engine (facing it) bay and you will see the cable pulley, the little black box near the headlight. Not to mention with the cover on you can see cable running from the fire wall all the way around to the throttle body. I own a 2003 GT.

dbw is superior to cable with throttle response, but you cannot get the PFC if you have a DBW celica.

DBW is safer than cable
if you don't plan on using PFC, it doesn't matter
and it's 03 and up GTS only

DBW is an electronically controlled thorottle
while normal is controlled by a cable.

For anybody that has this question again in the future, please OPEN your hood and have a look around your throttle body/intake manifold. If you see any form of cable, then its not DBW. DBW has no cable at all. 'Nuf said.
