Ok guys, this weekend i am going to install the springs in my car with the help of a friend. Now, i was checking the instructions of the tein stech springs and it says that it is required to cut the bump rubber before installing on the piston rod.
What the hell is that? If i have to cut, then how much do i need to cut?
Also it says " do not re-use the piston rod top lock nut"
Can someone explain me this a little bit better.
Thanks!

I haven't done it on a celica yet, but all cars are about the same. That rubber thing should look like a hard piece of yellow plastic that slips onto the rod, you'll have to cut that in half I think. The instructions should tell you.
They talking about the center lock nut that goes on last to bolt everything down onto the shock. I think they want you to use brand new ones, cause if you ever buy shocks, they always come with new locknuts.

On the bump stops. If you do not cut them, the car will bottom out way to soon. You have to cut them or you will bottom out on speed bumps and small things like that. Cut like an inch off. You'll see a big groove that goes around the whole bump stop. Cut if off about there and use the larger side. Its not too hard of a job.

When you take off the spring/strut you will see a little yellow foam/rubber think on the rod. Just cut that in half, and then place it back on with the new spring.
