WADDUP?
question...has anyone done the soldering thing for the speed/rpm gauges? change the color from orange..to something else?

i'd like to do that...but teamcelica.com isn't selling it anymore.

if you can provide me with a link to somewhere...or...the type of LED it is...so i can buy it from radioshack or something..

THANX ALL!!!

It's not only for the LCD, but also the gauges. Check RJ's site again - the LED kit is for everything on the gauge cluster board.

It's totally worth it if you can solder.

hey sorry i thought i posted on this before but i guess not. yea jsut buy the entire kit fomr rjautoworks, its aobut 85 i think. deff worth it thumbsup Another option you cna do is get liek reverglow gauges off ebay or somehtign and then jsut get the led kit form him (was 35). so you cover up the spedo and tach and the leds will sjut be used ot light up the needles and lcd part. Thats waht i did. well used s7 gauges that were 80 so really didnt get out cheap but looks great smile

You're looking for 1206 SMT LEDs, I'm pretty sure. There's a writeup in the installs section for changing the stereo LEDs (same thing) that has a website you can go to and known part numbers that work. (www.digi-key.com [digi-key.com])

If you go to that website, you can get the proper specs in terms of voltage, amperage, etc. or you can order them from there (I bought 50 LEDs for somewhere around 20-25 dollars shipped). Maybe it's just me, or the fact that my stereo lighting has to pass through a white background, but sometimes those LEDs don't seem quite as red as I want them to be...they're a little lighter. I'm eventually going to do my gauges with the same LEDs, just so there's no color conflict, but just my $.02...

Hmm, well, I did the radio and Gas Meter SWAP and it wasn't an EZ task, but it wasn't that hard either. U just gotta B xtremely careful not to BURN the contacts, as I did to 3 pairs of LEDS in my RADIO display. Other than that, U should B fine. Pix in my profile of LED Gas Meter & AC Reverse Gauge Overlay.
