i'm trying to put switches in these slots. does anyone know what tool i have to use to make the hole.(note: i don't have a drill) thanks

isn the hole already there? you just have to poke it out i think
or use a dremel

on my 2000 there was nothing to punch out... I drilled it out.. just borrow it from someone and size up the drillbit with the size of the switch (if its round) otherwise you can use a dremel tool, or draw the outline of the switch and cut it out with a razorblade, just make a bunch of shallow cuts not one that is really deep...hope that helps

That's my car I used a drill bit in a dremel tool. Any drill will do. I'm SURE you can get a drill somewhere! A sharp knife might work. I've made nice cuts in plastic before by heating a razor till oragne hot and melting through. A punch that makes the perfect shape for those switches is somewhere in my professor's lab, but I couldn't find it. The little plastic pieces pop right out from the back. Just take that large plastic piece off. I think there's just a few 10mm sockets holding it on. There may be a harness going to the hood release. I don't remember. Takes 2 mins to get out, max.

i can take the little pieces off i just can't make the holes to put the switches in.
