I'm putting a neon behind the a/c controls and i have a question on which wires I should splice to. I was going to splice the positive wire from the neon to the positive wire going to the bulb for the cigarette lighter, but when I looked there are three wires for the cigarette lighter bulb...a white one which looks to be grounded on the side of the cig lighter; a red one and a green one, both of which go into the housing for the bulb.

Which one of these is the positive wire that I should be splicing into?

Or should I just splice it to the positive wire from my gauges?

coolYup. Keeps the wires as short as possible.
I would try not to use my cigarette lighter in this case.
