PFC. which may be different from what you should get: do you have an OBD-II smog test in NC? PFC won't pass period. Though for Cali when I do go turbo, I have thought about getting both (I already have PFC), and using just the e-manage at smog time, all tuned and ready to pass. The visual portion is another story hehe... It's easier to get guys to ignore lack of a CARB sticker than to actually do the swap and sniff. yup.

or even cheaper hehe (for Cali people): if you bring your car to a real lazy shop that doesn't look up CARB numbers, you can show off your Injen or AEM turbo lol.

yep, you'll be fine with the e-manage, which the C2power turbo kits use.
there is no visual test, right?...so they really shouldn't be complaining about hearing a blow-off valve etc hehe. just tell them "oh...it's a factory option" lol.

they guys i go to won't care if i have a turbo or not. nice, yeah most wouldn't outside of Cali. The downside to having a turbo in Cali is that even if you get past the smog test which can be done in many ways, if a cop sees it on inspection, you're pretty much Californicated. you'd have to have it uninstalled back to stock, and probably pay a $1500 fine on top of that. I read on IS300.net how a guy with a turbo on his IS got pulled over after a Cali cop at an intersection heard his blow-off valve. if only we had a CARB approved supercharger system like those by Jackson for the RSX-S and other cars. we could buy that, take off the sticker, and sell the supercharger to a person who lives in a non-CARB state. We would then put that sticker on our custom turbo or supercharger.

The C2Power turbo kits do come with the e-manage programmed with a base map for their turbo on the respective car, GT or GTS. Though I would definitely get some fine tuning done on a dyno and monitor the A/F ratios to make sure everything is running well and safe, besides the assurance of maximum performance. But in order to do that tuning you'd need to have the GReddy support tool/software for the e-manage, and load that onto a laptop to be hooked up to the e-manage box. if you want the power the PFC is better hands down. if you dont want to maximize your power output the e-manage is fine.
