ok guys. im interested in getting some hids for my car. i know that the 4300 is the brightest from all of them and that the bmw and all the other luxury cars put the 4300 on their cars. However, i dont know how much of a difference in light output there will be for a 6000 hid system. i mean i want the brightest light, but i also want the blue look when you look at it from far away. Ive read about that effect comming from the lens of the car, not the light itself. But is there anyone that can help me out on this. Or is there anyone in the southern california area that might have hids, so i can see what they look like in person?

thanks

anything lower than 7000K is good.

im using 8000K right now...it's a bit dimmer than the 6500K ive used b4. but i want the road to show white not yellowish, so i went for 8000K.

and for the brightness, big brand name HIDs will be brighter than small brand name HIDs that is for sure. (considering same Ks... but when compared, some big brand name HIDs with 8000K will be brighter than small brand name HIDs with 6000K...)

I think 6000K is the way to go, light output is just a little bit less than the 4300K and it has a light bluish/purpleish hue to the light.

Isn't it true that if you buy a 6000K kit, that over time the Ks go up a bit as it wears in?

From what I read about HIDs, 6K is the way to go.

like does the ground light up blue with the 6000k just like painted bulbs, or does it light up bright white like stock cars that come with hids?

would i be well off with the kit from xenondepot.com? and since i have an 03 celica without hids, will the 4300 kit give me some type of prism effect since the headlights had been made for hids?

Or does toyota put the regular headlight housings if you dont get the car from them with hids?

they tend to last the life of the car ...with proper care ...such as giving the bulbs enough time to cool before turning it back on.. something like turning it off and on .. off and on multiple times isn't so good happywink
