i will totaly recomend this mod, its the first step you should take on better shifting, before you go short shifter. i tell you it feels so much better, i dont know how to explain it but it feels a lot better. i could tell from the second i moved the shifter. everyone should get one

The install looks pretty straight forward. I was thinking of doing this too. Can you describe more what the feeling is like afterwards, like the shifting is tighter, more precise? Did it get rid of any of the knotchiness?

But I heard one downside is that with the new harder bushings, there is the risk of snapping your shifter cable! Would that apply to our cars too, is that like a strong cable or what?

^^^^^^^^^^^ the shifting is tighter, yes its a lot more precise. now i havent hear of any cables snapping. there is a lot of other user on the other sites that got this and are very happy with them.

Chelica815
yes its pretty easy ones you find them in your engine bay, you can get them from
http://www.speed-source.net/products/shifter_cable.htm
and ones you install them make sure you use the stock pin. even do they give you 2 new pins stock ones are always better.

Cool thanks for the info. I was looking to replace mine a while back with just the stock OEM rubber ones, but these are much better. The OEM Rubber bushings are good for a little while, but these brass bushings will slide much better and will probably never wear out. Thank again... thumbsup

Looks good Clos, was it a big difference?

And for those who are in on the GB with me, I guess you can take his word for the better shifting.

Also, for those who are looking to buy, the GB is still on in the For Sale section for $25 shipped.

hey, someone might be able to help me out. Ever since i got my car, at 8k miles, ive had trouble getting it into reverse. it goes in, but its really hard to push it in sometimes. there are times where ill sit there and try to get it in reverse, but it just wont fall in, so i bring the stick back to the left, then try again. could these bushings help with this, or is it something else.
