So its been fun not having the butterfly valve in. Loud and sweet sounding, but I went about 25 miles the other day and used a ton of gas. It ruined the MPG, so alas, I'm gonna put the butterfly back in, and wait for what I already planned, Injen SRI in May.

The missing butterfly valve isn't causing your gas mileage to decrease. Even if it did, an SRI would do the same thing, because they both work on the same principle (increasing air intake). Lastly, you'd never notice any mileage change from either mod, positive or negative. The impact would be so minor, going up a couple more hills than normal on a tank would have more impact.

I thought about that too, but when I discussed it with my dad he insisted that it was the butterfly. I don't think he realizes the SRI takes out the butterfly.

def not the butterfly valve... like everyone else has said, you wouldn't even notice the difference, and the SRI would be the same as w/o the bvalve...

nope, if anything, my MPG remains constant. my car feels better and even when i gas it hard, the gas goes down accordingly
