Celica Gauge Cluster LED Conversion

Tools you'll need

Philips screw driver(2 size prefer)
Fine tip solder gun(2 solder gun makes it easier), 15/30w from Radioshack works good
Silver type solder

and two steady hand =)

1. First unscrew the two screws, marked with yellow triangle
Pull the black plastic towards you

2. Unscrew 3(red circle)

3. Push the red marked tap and pull it out

4. As shown

5. Unscrew the 8 screws

6. Now lift the green circuit board away from the cluster, that two red circle is where needle connector are connected.
It will slide out with little force

7. This is how it looks when you pull the board all apart

8. Removing the LCD panel off from circuit board
Note next step...
Try pry off the LCD panel from the circle area
But be very gentle, prying from side to side

9. Push the tabs to unclip from the board

10. Yellow triangle are the gauge LED
Yellow circles are LCD LED
Now just unsolder those LED
Solder new LED back on with little marking on the LED aiming downwards


Now slap all that baby back together!!!

hi im very new at customizing stuff so i might ask retarted questions. I was checking the led colors and i found some very cool colors. this it the picture of it. and i was wonderring if its possible to change right part of the rpm gauge to blue and indigo and also if i can leave the fuel gauge and temperature part the same color but take out the blue backgorund.And finally is it possible to change the red up part wheres the oil sign engine sign battery and brake signs to indigo.
oh ya i almost forgot is it possible to change the open door sign and no seatbelt sign to indigo too. and the low gas and left right signals and also all thees lttile sighs to indigo

Hey all,

What are the LED sizes for interior (gauges, switch's, clocks etc...) all sites refrjeved to buy them no longer are up and running.
