Are you basically saying that the car won't accelerate when you've reach 100mph? When you're going that fast there's a lot of things that'll keep you from going faster that you have to consider... wind resistance, slope of road and wheel size (if you have aftermarket wheels) just to name a few. I have a GTS with 18's and the fastest I've gone is about 175km/h (105mph)

Lower your celica, raised hood scoop, ground effects, a wing, sticky tires, high gear ratios, and a good set of 17's-18's. These will all help you little by litte to achieve a high top speed. Shit i broke 110mph in a race with an Xterra on I-75. But i have 6spd GTS and WASN'T in lift during the whole race. The Xterra was swirving and weaving outta traffic, everyone else backed down. Had to go at it!

I have an auto GT and have gone up to 110, could have gone faster, but traffic started slowing. Something might be wrong. Try it again on a different road.

^^ ya same here... i love speeding down the highway, leaving people behind... i dont like swerving/weaving that much, bc then you become a reckless driving case, but just zooming down the fast lane with my buddies

bigger wheels will actually let you go faster... Bigger wheels will raise your speed at a given RPM. But you also have to realize the added weight from the wheels rob a little bit of power, that's why people will tell you to stay away from large diameter wheels if your looking to improve performance. Acceleration will decrease with larger wheels due to the fact that you're accelerating up to a higher speed compare to rolling on stock (smaller) wheels.

I've hit 127 in my 5spd. GT on the Ohio Turnpike. I'd be pretty pissed if I couldn't break 100 man.

maybe governor!?!?!?! CANADA restrictions might have enforced a governer, i dont know, just throwing things at you to figure out the prob, if most autos have been know to be able to go past 100, there has to be a better reason why your car wont reach past 100!!
