I have 18s with stock springs. I don't like how it looks, but I don't hate it. I have S-Techs sittin in my room, so once I get around to installing them everything will be better...
My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10 of those speedchips! I figure if 1 gets me 20hp then 10 will get me 200hp!

I say go for it. Everybody has to start somewhere. I was riding on 17s with stock springs. Looked fine.

springs are cheaper than rims.
stock rims on a lowered car looks good. aftermarket rims on a lowered car looks good.
going with springs, you win either way...

i guess the questions is, if i can only do one this spring, do i do rims or springs? i know stock 16s will look pretty good if its lowered. but 18s would set the car off a lot more.

if you get wheels and tires from www.wheelsnext.com [ wheelsnext.com] they include free springs, dunno how good they are, but it's something to think about. but then again springs are cheap compaired to wheels so you could get them both at the same time if you save a bit more cash. But then there's installation to consider, if you can do it yourself you can save yourself a few hundred bucks if not then maybe get wheels and then springs when you have more cash. I would deffinately get the wheels first as oposed to the springs because then you can figure out based on the wheels and tires and current height off the ground how much of a drop you actually want and then get springs to fit your setup.

well darrell, i'd get rims then. it seems that you have your heart set on rims, so get the rims. at least you know that you're getting springs later. (i was gonna say a joke, but i'll save it for later )
