Can anyone vouch that the benefits of going coil overs is worth the extra money instead of getting lowering springs?

Depends, are you talking full coilover suspension, or coilovers like ground controls or skunk2. If you're talking full coilover suspension, its 10 times better than just lowering springs. If you're just talking like ground controls, then the biggest benefit is just being able to adjust ride height. With lowering springs or coilovers you would still want to get some aftermarket struts if you are lowering anything more than 1"-1.25" as your stock struts will wear out very quickly.

^ yeah.. but if the drop is too low, like 2 inches.. the aftermarket struts will still wear. Just will take longer grin

The struts are what the springs sit around. But with some cars its harder to pick out the struts, becuase you have leaf springs on some vehicles and the strut sits by itself. But with our car, the strut sits inside the spring, kinda,

I always wondered about this. Which is a harsher ride, say between 2" hotchkis drop springs vs ground control coilovers set at 2" drop? They both feel exactly the same?
