Has anyone heard about the new cams from crower. I was checking out Ncelica and came across a post about them. Everyone that purchased the cams have had serious problems some peoples cars dont even run. It has something to do with the VVTI Post your knowledge on the topic if you got it

monkey wrench is doing is giving them away free (installed, tested)...but you have to have quite a few other things and they need your car for a short period of time. the stories i heard of the crower cams not working have been because of a bad install...once they got the angles right it was fine. havn't heard much about them because they're still kinda new. i have, and will remain posted on ncDOTorg..even though i drive vvtl-i for which they're not available.

A matrix xr owner with a trd supercharger supposedly put them on and gained 19 whp and 12 wtq.

Some of the problems have been install but not all. The major problem is anything above stage 1 needs serious tuning and shouldnt be used on the stock ecu. With that being said, no one as of yet has been able to get a good tune. I will be tuning mine shortly, hopefully i will have good results

dude, we're tuning your car so I know you'll have good results only stage 2 and above people using the stock ecu are having issues like john said. and thats cause they shouldnt be using the stock ecu. all other problems are install problems. the VVTI cam gear has to be installed correctly or it will not function. If more people knew the proper procedures, there wouldnt be any problems.
