i think it's possible..cuz the base rsx auto got the sportshift going on. so i'm sure it'll be the same with the celica. not sure about the price..but most likely expensive...

The sportshift only came on the GTS. I think to do a conversion, your going to need not only the steering wheel but the Computer too, so then I don't think it will work. Unless a GTS computer works in a GT.

I wanted this too and http://www.levelten.com/store/index.htm was making them but I found out it was gonna be four buttons in a row that correspond to the 4 gears which wasnt what I wanted. If you could set up some system where you could hook it up to the steering wheel like the gts it would be cool. I am not sure if they ever came out with it though because this was a while ago.

it could work because the gear changes in an auto are computer controlled. however, if the ECU came from an 03+ GTS, it wouldn't work i don't think because of the DBW system. if the ECU didn't dtect it, it may not run the car. actually, i don't think it would work because the ECU's are so different.

I aint rich so I cant really just say, I will trade it in for a standard, so I want to make it as good I can...

If the reason you are asking is for better performance, look elsewhere.
