Celica Forums General Discussion General No more GTS in Vegas?

I just went to all my local dealers in las vegas, and not one of them has a gts automatic. They tell me they are not going to get anymore celicas period. Discontinued by toyota.
Is that so?
I wanted to buy an 05 gts with action package in silver cloud...

you can still buy the 05 gts, thats the last year the celica is being made...that sucks but that just means the celica is gonna be like a sought after car in the future!! why do you want an auto? i hope you dont plan on racing it, bc you will be dissapointed..but as for show cars, the auto gts is a sweet choice..it looks sick with lambo doors and a widebody kit...silver is the color to get!!!!

For the love of god, don't buy an auto gts

My old lady crashed my previous 00 gts, it was auto, I was happy with it. I don't want to drive stick anymore, gets tiring in bumper to bumper traffic.
Also don't get t-boned by a suv doing 65mph, side impact protection really sucks! Car was bashed in all the way to the center console. Luckily no one was
sitting in the passenger seat. And get this, the front airbags went off! There
was no front end damage!

You should be able to get one... but it might be a bit difficult. Try telling the dealer that is the only car you want. I bet he'd find a way to get one out there. More than likely, he was just trying to move something already on his lot.

If that fails, try using a car broker. You can find them all over online... great option if you can't find what you're looking for.

look at it this way..if you get into any 65 mph crash, your boned...it doesnt matter what side they hit you on...bumper to bumper traffic is something im willing to gain if it means i can whoop ass..with an auto...you have to be pretty suped up to win most races..plus, your gonna get those ricers whos gonna wanna test you out..and its would suck if you lost to a neon or a cavilier...but if your not into racing and more into car shows then disregard...just know that you will get f...with..

I'm also willing to travel to cali, arizona and utah. but my online search of dealers new inventory is turning up nothing but a few 05 gt's, no gts's.

i see a lot of celicas here in vegas..but mostly gt i only been to one dealership here just to check out the supra but yeah not much celicas on the lot

I saw a GTS on the lot by my house just last week. My car wasn't on the dealer site when I went to buy it, either. I think Toyota's inventory sites aren't exactly accurate.

Yes sir, you R correct! Bought my 05 GTS 6SPD in November, no spoiler because dealer said they were out of them. Problems with the auto may have caused them to wrap that up early too. Celicas will always be in demand now...I'm bankin on it! I have two!
