Coming home tonight, I was thinking that I'm actually speeding on the freeway when traffic is NOT heavy, otherwise I behaive myself :angel:

Let's start with the fact that it isn't the same speeding on the freeway than doing it on your neighborhood streets or even on the freeway during heavy traffic... I guess that's the difference between and [color:"gray"] should I say "criminal"?[/color] driver. Besides on the street there's more chance to get pulled over...

I've noticed that people drive on the freeway(65mph) at 75mph, in average 10 miles over the speed limit.

my average it's 85-90 sometimes 95

[i]BTW I forgot to mention that I got 2 speeding tickes, the 1st 3 years ago (66 in 45) and the 2nd last september (in Las Vegas)(92 in 75-caught by aircraft radar lol-)
Both I went to traffic school
Now my record is clean

At minimum I drive 80 if there isnt heavy traffic..

Under normal circumstances, I drive as fast as possible without dipping. If that's 65 or 85, it's still usually the speed I travel.

Then there are times like today. Pissed off and driving home from SD... traffic was going 90 and I was dipping to go 105

I don't do anymore than 10mph over the limit on the freeway.

During the daytime, I do like everyone else - keep about 10km/h above the speedlimit.

If I get the urge to drive like a total a-hole, then I don't go out like before 1 in the morning/night, when there's almost no traffic. I don't ever want to have to explain to some one that I killed someone in their family just because I felt the urge to drive fast. So whenever there are other cars around, I keep my sanity hat on. But when there are no other cars around, I just loose my mind and floor it. If I fuck up, it's all on me - and that's the only way I want it.

It's the same if I have passengers in my car. Girls especially like to drive fast. But I never do it with some one else in the car.

60 mph here...speed limit down here is 55 mph

normally about 10mph over the speed limit...if it's a longer haul...about 80mph...no that's not over the limit

i usually i go between 70 and 90 on the freeway. Of course there are days ppl ricers wanna race. Then they'll see my the ass of my car going faster than whatever there going, usually 90+. Depending on how traffic. Im usually on the freeway when its really dead. So yeah average 80.

100-130mph b/c there's no speed limit over here but since I'd like to keep my engine a lil longer I usually go like 90mph<----saves a lot of gas though

Here in Atlanta the interstate Speed limit varies between 55, 65, and 70...but everyone usually drives between 75 and 80 mph...the cops won't even pull you over until you break 80 mph...even if you are on one of the interstates where a 55 mph sign is posted

i'll usually go 75 under normal traffic. if traffic is heavy, i find myself following someone going about 80+.

i try to stay close to the speed limit because of my speeding ticket but i am normally around 65-75. not much more

Well its 70 on the freeway, so I usually do about 80.

its typically 65 on the roads I drive I usually set cruise to 72!

between 65 and 70.. dont know y but since i got the celica i started to follow the speed limits

90-100 on average... i drive too fast... but i cant help it.

Depends how traffic looks, usually about 80-90 if traffic is flowing...on the way home from Tucson once... the needle was on the 140 mark...was lucky no cops were around. If I am not sure of my surroundings or if a cop's nearby, I'll only do like almost 5 over.

limit 60mph i usually do 65-75mph, usually..otherwise i'll just pace along at exactly 65mph..got caught once doing 75 on a 60..cost 179buck went to traffic school which cost 139bucks..what a bitch, since i was in a different county that's y..diff. county have diff. cost for traffic class..

80mph compared Cali's speed limit of 65. i usually do 10 over the limit.

limit is 65 or 55 here in jersey and i usually go like 70ish maybe faster depending on traffic

fastest ever on freeway. I dunno i have pegged the speedo on the freeway before so I'm gonna venture in saying 130-145. No tickets Ever aside from Parking tix.

My average is around 85-95.

I don't go over 80 in a 70. In a 55 I don't go over 60.

speed limit is 65, i do anywhere from 75 to 85

around 80 when in a hurry. most of the time its around 65 just to save gas

90-110 on clear days. Here in Arkansas, the line of sight goes for miles. Overpasses are the only cover troopers use for shooting radar. I cruse from overpass to overpass. 80 at night.

I have noticed that if you approch light traffic at 110 they tend to make way!


City driving is a different story! I stay 5 below the posted limit to keep the 5-O off my back! I'm paranoid about little kids and people riding bikes. They scare me more than cops!

speed limit here is 55, but i tend to go 70

it all depends on what kind of mood in.. or whether or not i'm trying to get somewhere

if i'm not on a time limit i usually go 5-10 miles over the speed limit

if i'm sick of driving or want to drive fast or on a time limit i usually go somewhere between 80 and 115...

i try not to go too fast in my celica though cause if i wreck it... it's not gonna get molded again... so i'd be screwed...

usually five over traffic but minimum of five over speed limit.

also depends on the highway.

in mass rt2 i go +5 most the way but in certain areas i go 80. i91 i go 80 usually and more on straight aways. i290/i190 i go any speed i want ('cause i know where the staties hide). i495/i90 it's 85.

in nh, i'm more cautious 'cause i am less familiar with the highways and only do like +5 to +10. in ct i just go with traffic.

I try to keep it below 80, as a rule, just to stay out of trouble. Occasionally I'll put on a quick burst of speed to get away from a big knot of traffic though.

I AVG about 80 MPH. But on occasion, I do hit 120+ MPH .

depends on how i feel. most of the time i drive 70-75 80 at the most on a 65mph freeway. if i'm in a rush or in a bad mood i go around 90ish. when i go from vegas to cali. i go up to 100. unless i'm in bakersfield. got caught there once..never again

when i first got my car..i would rive 85 mph..

however now...i'm laid back and just put in on cruise control on 65 mph

I do 70-80 in 55-65 mph zone, but I do have a 5 mile stretch that I get to 90 - 110 every day unless it's foggy.
I drive slower at night, unless somebody else is doing 100 with no oncoming trafic.
My eyes are better than my radar detector, that's why I slow down at night.

I do around 65-70. the CHP don't take kindly to celicas...

on a trip to vegas when i used to have a GT I got her up to 125 mph...the fastest i've gone in the gts is prolly around...80

speed limits 70 on the hwy here.. so i usually do 75-80. on realy nice days and im feelin good i do 110-125

85 and 90 the cops hang out in the same place, day in and day out. i live in the middle of nowhere, alabama i bet you understand now.
