I use Rain-X twice a week. It cuts the bugs off of the windscreen. If too much is used it will be fogy, hazy, streaky like you said. Mist some water on the glass, and then buff it clear. I use a paper towel to apply, another to be sure the coat is even, the n the third to polish. If you have access to ethanol alcohol, it can be used to dilute the wax in the rain-x so it's not to strong. The only thing I use inside is Sign Off by Spartan I paid too much for my 5% tint for anything else!! http://www.spartanchemical.com/sfa/MSDSRep.nsf/0/d085562b1b180e20852567df00536252?OpenDocumentThis is its Data sheet. It is safe on interior trim, gauges, wood and carbon fiber. It will not mess with the stenciled letters on plastic either! I found a bottle in a cockpit one day and tried it. Been hooked ever sence!!!

You shouldn't use paper towels on your windows because it can scratch them.

I use an ammonia based cleaner like Windex. You still have to be careful so as not to get streaks (don't let the cloth get too wet before you switch to a dry one).

Outside - Rain-X once a month, wipe on & buff off w/ soft paper towels.
Inside - Slightly damp rag (water). I'll try the stuff you guys use on the interior to see if I can get rid of streaks.

Avoid using ammonia based cleaners on film tinted windows, at least on the inside part where the actual tint film is located.
You can do a search in google for "cleaning tinted windows" and find dozens of pages with advice on this subject.

a cap of vinegar in water works wonders. also Teknikal how can paper scratch glass? I've done my science before and I think paper is lower on the hardness scale.

I only use Stoner Invisible Glass. You can get it at any auto parts store. Safe to use on exterior & interior, okay to use on tint. Know matter what you decide to use always wipe glass with newspaper. It doesn't leave streaks or lint. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't use paper towels on my paint so I won't use it on my windows either. Especially when there are better options available.
