Hi,
I know you guys kept saying that the ECU will reset itself back to the factory setting after a period. So, I got my SAFC at a cheap price and I was worried about wasting my money on the dyno.
However, my celica gts is different from yours. mine came right from japan. I have asked satoshi and he said a friend of his also installed safc and has no problem. I know the SAFC2 menu has our car no. zzt231 in it, and probably have been proven it works. However, this piggy back problem is just keep getting to my nerve.
Recently, an other GTS installed HKS F-CON and has tuned up to 230hp. Do you people thing the ECU will reset itself?
I have been trying to get some information about the ECU differences in the two places (US/Japan), but no luck. So, I want to check with you guys if you people have some technical paper or spec that you can share with me.
Any inputs are welcomed.

is it legal to drive a right hand drive car in the us? just wondering.. I dunno about the ecu thing, but I do know that c2power uses the piggy back emanage in their turbo kits so if that didn't work people would be blowing up their engines on the c2power kit. I've heard safc is less effective, but don't know from experience so it doesn't really count at all.

nah... i am not in the States. we all shift with the left hand over here... thats why we can import JDM cars without problem.
I know it is less effective, but i got my safc2 for US$180. I can't expect it does the same thing with my friend's HKS F-CON sub ECU.
Anyother cars has closed loop system on board? how about new cars like the matrix, RX8, Z33? can these cars use the SAFC2? I read someone on this forum saying about Hi-throttle make the ECU disregard the o2 signal, and it will able to effect on A/F at high rev. Any proven fact on this?
