i was wonderin if you could take the orange paint off of your stock gauges and make them clear, and just put different leds behind them.. would this work? or do you actually have to buy a whole new gauge for it?

A while back someone rubbed it all off but he said something about it not looking too good. You would be better off spending money on some indiglos or somethin. There only like 30 bucks.

single tube does not come iwth the inverter, which you need. i bout a kit with 1 tube so it had inverter and 1 tube, btu bought an extra single tube later when i wanted more ligth smile got a total of 5 cold cathodes in my car wink 2x12" in front, 2x4" in back seat, and 1 in ac knobs smile

So waht you want is the single tube KIT, so make sure it has the inverter with it

cold cathode is :

1. cheaper!!
2. takes less power i bleive
3. doesnt get as hot i am prtty sure (hense cold wink)
4. i hear more durable
5. seem to be smaller but i dont know about that one.
6. Brighter i hear
7. dont take time to warm up

Normally used for comptuers, thats why it comes with a switch plate for a pc, and moltex conector. (jsut pull out the wires and all is good wink )

I personalyl get them because they are cheaper wink
