Hey, this may seem like a really stupid, but I just wanna make sure. First of all, the TRD style kit sold at this store, does anyone have a pic of the front?? The reason I ask is because for some reason, call me crazy, but I've seen different TRD kits for the celica. I really don't know what that's all about, but I've seen some that are different. So I wanna know which one this is, also, I would like to know how the fitment is. I know everyone would like to kiss Isaac's a$$ (hahaha, I love you ISAAC!!!), but I would seriously like to know how the fitment is. Thanks in advance for all replies...

I would sugest if you are looking to buy the TRD bodykit, that you get it directly from your local TRD Dealership...

1) its genuine and the fitment is perfect thumbsup
2) its made from Urethane - Light weight high quality urethane thumbsup
3) comes pre-painted to perfectly match your celica's body color thumbsup

when you buy aftermarket you may need to modify the body kit to fit perfectly, you will need to have it color-matched, prepped and painted... and installed grin (this all comes to about the same price when you buy TRD STYLE or GENUINE TRD... but with genuine TRD, it will have all of the above listed qualities)

Quote
What would be the differences be between buying the "Action Package" and buying the TRD Style sides and rear and the mechanical front end? I was quoted a $620 price including shipping for those pieces at a different website. How much would the kit be from Toyota? Is it fiberglass from Toyota?

The action package is factory. The fitment is perfect, needless to say. The entire body kit is polyurethane. But, buying the entire kit from Toyota would probably be around $1500. Also, keep in mind, that the Action package pieces do not come pre-painted unlike the TRD. So you would need to add another $500 -$600 for paint.

TRD style kit are fiberglass. My suggestion is to get a front Mechanical bumper (action package front, they are the same) from Toyota, and finish off your kit with Wings West sides and rear skirt. You would have a kit that looks like the TRD kit and they would all be polyurethane. And Wings West are a lot cheap than the factory pieces.

Genuine TRD Body Kit has been discontinued (ie, renamed) and is now called the "ACTION PACKAGE" front - it's basicaly the exact same thing except it now comes with the Toyota Badge in the center grill.

How good is the fitment of body kits? The fitment of body kits depends on the part and the car. Parts may require modifications including grinding, sanding, cutting, glassing, etc. Many people purchase body kits as a result of a car accident. If your car has ever been in any accident, regardless of how minor, this may effect the fitment of the part.

Okay, Isaac, I definately get your point. But where can I get the TRD Mechanical front for cheap?? From toyota it's like 1000 or something. Also, from what you told me, it seems I have 3 options...
1) get the TRD replica, and pay the extra $$ for painting, fitment, all that stuff.
2) get the TRD kit from Toyota which has perfect fitment and already pre-painted.
3) get the TRD front from Toyota (which is perfect fit, and painted) and get wings west sides and rear, but I have to paint and fit those.
My question is, which one is the cheapest?? (including painting and fitting and all other charges) because money is definately an issue. and this thread is open to all replies, not just Isaac. (btw, thanks Isaac for the help)

how about the mechanical front bumper (and others that are replica body kits)that are selling on ecelica store,
what can you say about the fitment on it?
you are selling it for $200 but i see other sites that sell
more expensive and less expensive.
what are the differences on this if any?

im just confused

actualy - its mostly about reputation and what that seller feels like selling the part for thumbsup (sometimes, like in ecelica's case - we sell ALOT ALOT ALOT of bodykits, so we are able to have lower prices than another company that only sells lets say, one body kit per week - and has to charge a much higher rate for that single bodykit)

just because you pay a lot for a part, doesnt mean that it will be better than something you buy for less at some other place.

look at all these electronic's stores selling car stereos - do you think that a $500 sony head unit from crutch feild is that much better than the exact same product purchased from your local BestBuy retailer for only $300 wave

Most sellers get their body kits from the same exact place...

ie - if you buy BuddyClub parts from SoCal, chances are that they were manufactured from TCS

if you buy fiberglass parts an they arive as either YELLOW or BABY BLUE colored Fiberglass, chances are that they were manufactured by VIS... although there are atleast 40 different retailers selling that same produt for prices ranging from $150 to $300 - just for that single bumper rice
