Hi, I can't remember who has the Eclipse AVX2494 (it is the DVD/CD/Hardrive double din)...who has it? I found one carry around me but they said they don't have it in stock and it costs $3000! Whoever has this, can you let me know the price you got it for and some pics, thanks!

you mean you found a dealer around your area? 3000 is alright but shop online and you even get better deals than that.

Don't jump on it right away, keep looking online thre should be more dealers out there. I'd call eclipse also and get infos on who are their authorize dealers online and local.

i got mine way cheap from a friend that vacationed in japan.

lucky you lol, i haven't found any cheaper, around here or online yet, i will keep looking though but hookupcaraudio is the cheapest so far! I would love someone to get one from japan for me but my friend moved out of japan a couple years ago

nm, i was wrong, looks like the AVX2494! thanks! anyone know what it means not to have preouts? i heard this doesn't but i have no clue, thanks! i will be getting it..how the hell do you put the cd/dvd in there?? it is a double din..what does that mean?


EDIT: How do you get that stuff around the eclipse? It looks like the stock part...and how do you do the mod with the xm radio? I am thinking of doing that with a 4 switch box or an HKS Turbo Timer Type-1...thanks for any help

Its fiberglass... And it doesnt really look stock either you can see the color and the texture differences... If you want it to look perfect then you can paint it, or an XM roady 2 or maybe the commander will fit in the ashtray spot

what does 'no preouts' mean?? someone said the Eclipse doesn't have them...what does that mean?

sup pocasset boy Your neighbor over here in mashpee has the 2494. I got it $1275 shipped from japan
I found an authorized reseller on eBay. It's amazing. But there are some downsides, the lack of preouts, which means if you want the audio OUT from the unit into an amp with RCAs you need to get a converter, it's cheap, but still. Also the buttons on the edge don't have illumination which is weird! Otherwise the unit is amazing. I'll have it at the Mass meet in may. I'll also be around the cape again in early may when I'm back from school.
