I've had my Celica for 5 months, i have noticed that the clutch produces a burning smell when operating the clutch, when parking or waiting in traffic with the clutch held down. I've been to Toyota who said this is common in all Celica's and Rav 4. Just wondering if anybody else has had the same problem.

yeah your car has gas...are you asian? bc asian food tears up your stomach..thats prolly why my car hates me...when i fart i have to open up all 3 of my windows...the stench is creeping towards your clutch, drying up all the tranny fluid making it burn...lay off the dairy man...

Is common for the celicas and rav4 to produce the burning smell? BS! What kind of a stinky ass car.

They are prolly telling you that because they do not want to deal with fixing the problem. Bring it back to them and tell them to f*ck off and fix your car. A 5 months old car that smells is b*llshit. You are paying good money so fight for it!
