check out the gear ratios, i don't think there is a big difference, so no big help in acceleration

yea i wasn't focusing on acceleration...it's a gt, haha..if anything, it's probably slower b/c of shorter gears...i just wanna be able to go beyond 5 in my daily driving..i hear gts tranny wouldn't fit and if it could, the gears would be wayy too short for the 1zz.

GTS 6spd tranny will fit a GT and it has been done by many people on the other site

wouldn't the ratio be too short? since gts @ 8K goes 35-40 mph..wouldn't it be like...30 mph for the gt @ 6800 or sumthin?

just means you get up to power quicker and are able to hold it at higher rpms but i've never seen a printout of our hp curve so i don't know if it would be beneficial or not, but just cause we would have to shift at 30, doesn't mean the car is slower, cause it probably got to 30 faster than the 5 speed.
