I Tried to put a neon tube behind my ac controls but it just won't fit, I even cut the plastic thing to make it fit, so I bought neon wire, it fits because its a wire and I hooked it up to the cig lighter so when the lights come on the wire will turn on, so that's done, so anyway I was going to change the cig lighter and the shifter blubs to blue too, but only come to relize that they don't work, I checked the fuses and none of them were bad, I don't why they don't work, any help or same problems as me???

does anything else not work...cuz that happened to me but all the a/c controls went out, the cig. lighter went out, and the dimmer knob on the left doesnt work. As well as my alarm system got f*ed. None of my fuses were blown and it is supposedly some part deep behind the airbag that needs to be replaced for me...so i have to bring it to the dealer...

Everything else works, the cig. lighter and the shifter lights don't work, the only thing I can think of is that they aren't getting power but I don't see why I didn't touch anything that I know of, when I was putting the neon tube in I tryed to take out the ac bulbs but I broke them, could they all be an the same circuit, so if one loses power they all do??

it very well could be. What do you mean the shifter lights? im a little confused as to what you are talking about with those. It is in all reality possible that they are the same circuit (because toyota loves to do that stuff to us). I would say try replacing the bulbs, and see what happens.

In my GT I tried to change the cig light to blue, didn't even get the bulb removed to replace when I had to go. Put it pack and it never worked again. Beats me man.
