But the thing is that it doesnt happen all the time. and my allignment is off a little bit, it pulls to the right, would this have ne thing to do with the steering wheel vibrating. thanks for the help.

balance your tires, problem will stop.
As for the pull, alignment my not be the issue, mine pulls to the left a little but my toe and camber are in good shape.

Make sure wherever you take it they "road force" balance them. After I got my new tires, my steering wheel started to shake at like 60+. I couldn't get it in anywhere til a week later and it turned out the jackasses forgot to balance the 2 front wheels. Talk about being pissed off! Unfortunately, they also discovered that my front passenger rim was bent. Gotta love all the freakin construction/potholes down here!!

heres the cure for this problem balance tires. this should take care of the problem if it didnt affect ur tires. if this doesnt help, that means ur tires has worn out wrong. if its pulling on a side after alignment, rotate the tire from left to right and drive and see if it pulls to the other side. if it does, then you need new tires. if you stepping on the brakes and wheel shakes, that means ur rotors need resurfacing.

Yeah, if none of those tricks work you may need new tires as much as that sucks. When I got a car the dealer tried putting these cheap tires on that weren't the proper rating for the car. They tried everything so they wouldn't have to replace them, but in the end had to shell out the money cause my damn hands were going numb from the vibration

Exactly the same problem on my 2002 Celica T-Sport. Drives me f**king mental. At first I thought it was because it was a balance problem and had all the wheels balanced and still had the problem.
Then I thought maybe because the previous owner was a scrouge as they put a cheap tyre on the drivers side wheel that was the reason so I changed both fronts at a cost of 254.00 ($450 ish, we get screwed in the UK for everything) and the problem still is there.
Took the car back to the tyre place for a balancing check and only fractionally out so I rang Toyota and booked it in.
Friend of mine said it could be the bushes but I will let Toyota find out.

well i finally had mine looked at. after having multiple balances and alignments, i finally found out what seems to be the problem. anybody who is having the same problem as mine (above) might have a bent subframe. Such as a control arm or CV joint. the place that told me this said they didnt want to take the job and i should take it somewhere else that will be able to put an exact finger on what might be bent. i plan on having this fixed as soon as possiable. my car has extra play in the wheel, pulls bad to the right, and vibrates at higher speeds. all these problems dont really bother me during daily driving but will cause my brand new tires to wear unevenly. if anybody may have a solution to this please resond but no more balancing or alignment responses please cause that just doesnt work for this particular problem, thnx

^^u have probably broken ur control arm while hitting a curb.
usually control arm broken will give it an extra noise to the wheel. there will be a deep noise coming off the wheel, and the noise will get quicker the faster you drive.
theres almost NOWAY you can 100% align a car with aftermarket rims and tires.

im def thinking its the control arm but i dont get any extra noise coming from that wheel, just bad pulling to the right, extra play in the wheel, and vibrations in the wheel around 70. think it still might be the control arm?

I have had this steering wheel wobble that happens intermediately now on two vehicles- and both times it turned out to be the same thing. Not saying it is the only thing that can cause it, but for me at least in both cases it has been the same thing. Basically each time one rim had a slight buckle (which the eye cannot see- very slight). And it only on one side of the rim. When you hit an object with a wheel, your wheel will never hit it square, never mind that the object (like a pothole) itself will not be a perfect square. This results in the rim getting buckled, but depending on how it struck the object, one side of the width will be more buckled, the other side may not be buckled at all. Now as you drive on a highway, there is a camber for water run off. And the camber shifts from left to right. As the weight of the vehicle is shifted from left to right, it begins to get a steering wobble depending if the weight is placed on the buckled side of the rim, and the steering wobble becomes less as the weigh shifts to the round part of the rim as the camber changes. It also only does this at highway speed because it is a very slight buckle, you never notice it in town driving. It does not matter how many times the wheels are balanced (will always come out as perfect), the balancing machine cannot simulate weight being put on the rim shifting from side to side. The only way I have found how to fix this is to to swap each wheel one at a time with the spare (front or back wheels I've the same symptoms). You will notice straight away when the offending wheel is found.
