I am just wondering I have a fuel door label on the dash board, Is it suppose to light when the fuel door has not been closed. I have opened purposely the fuel door , start the engine and there are no indicator which lights.
Is there a fuse or a switch that I should check ??

Yeah hahahah same here, one day I had rented a car and saw it on there also...and I put two and two together and figured it out hehe.

It is kinda silly to have that...but as I found when I rented a car, it made it easier to get gas and I didn't look like an idiot parking alongside a pump on the wrong side of the car. I can't think of any other reasons it would help.

I was never fooled per say. I thought it was an indicator light, but I never looked at it and though that I forgot to close my door. It does make sense as a convenience feature on a rental, but I would hope that one would not need to rely on that if they owned the car (unless of course you're Jay Leno, and drive more cars than there are in the world.)

Cool , I thought that there was some problem with my car, it could be a nice feature though just informing you that the fuel door is not closed or not properly closed.

At first I thought it was on, though it was during the day. Then when night came, I was like, where is the light? Next day, I thought it was on, and wondered why it comes on during the day and turns off at night. I was going to take it to the dealership and complain, but then after I looked closely, it was paint and not a light. I, like most of you, feel stupid. jajajajaja
