you dont remove that part just the plastic over it. once you screw the bolts into your spoiler the metal stub is going to merge into the foam under the spoiler. i was worried about that too until i acctually had placed it on.

when i got the spoiler in the mail i had to put it toget her, there was the long middle part and the two sides. should put it all together and then put it on my trunk, or should i put the two sides on my trunk and then attach the the long middle pice to them.

i think im gonna just shave the stubs off then get a small layer of foam, cuase the stubs are pretty high and will probably crack the spoiler wheni go to tighten the bolts.
also do i use the same bolts that came with the factory spioler to mounted the trd replica one, or should i used the one that came with it.
and on emore thing, it has a 3 break lite, and little copper wire sticking out, i have no idea where to put that so that the breake lite on the trd replica spoiler will lite up when i press on the brakes

use the bolts that they sent you. remove the black rubber buy pulling it (refer to the picture below) under there you will find a black wire. pull that wire until you find a white terminal plug. open that and mount the wire from your new spoiler onto the wire inside that terminal plug them place back everything else. i think the white one is negative and the green one is positive. if that doesnt work then it might be the opposite hope this helps

i didnt but if you feel a lot better with it off just remove the negative terminal from your battery and wrap a cloth around the negative terminal so that its safe from hitting any metal parts on you car ( to prevent short circuit)

hey you guys. i finish putting on my spoiler. i ended up shaving down the metal stubs with a file then i put one side on 1st. then the other side was already connected to the long part with the brake lite. i conneted that to my trunk then connected the two ends. so i didnt assebembly the whoel spoiler b4 i put it on my car. it was easier this way. it looks great. but im having trouble with the wiring, how do i get the littel 2 wires our that r in side the connecter so i can put the wire from the spoiler in there. thanks
