So basically my brother has/had a 93' Rx7 Touring. He was on a rebuild, he got a new engine and rebuilt it and assembled it. He had it running for about 2 months then had a few problems with it. Then one day when he was working on it at our dads shop a flame started from the front and went out the exhaust. He saved most of engine parts. But 1 of the turbos got pretty wet and the wastegate didnt get touched at all. Here are some of the pictures. Also at this moment he planning to buy a black 93' Rx7 single t78 turbo. It was dyno'd at 420 horses at 15 psi. Here is the pic of it before.

thats all, but there was no real idea of why it started on fire except there were some leak problems but the car itself wasn't on. So it was sort of a freak thing but he got a good settlement and got about 3 times of what he paid for it. Which is nice now hes working on buy his new one. Yeah but at the time that when he didnt think he would get much for it from insurance he was prolly the madest ive ever seen him. But I guess it paid off.

He was thinking of buying it back but the insurance was asking a high price so hes planning on partin it out
