I am going to be getting the Eclipse AVX2494. It has no preouts (read on a forum)...what does this mean?

Also, i was going to upgrade to JL Audio speakers...what else do i need with the speakers to make sound better or whatever i need.

Last thing, if i plan on getting subs, what do i need to go with them? I don't understande mono and mult amps. I figure that mono only can have 1 out and multi can have more. Please help, thanks!

If you are planning on subs, definitely get a head unit with preouts. Preferably one with a nonfading or sub-out.

lol yeah, i have bought a couple of things but after i pay my creds off, about a month or less, going to take out a 25k loan (if able to, if not, can't get the turbo frown ) and buy all the stuff i need plus kam body kit eclipse avx2494, speakers, rear big kit conversion, new rear view mirror with temp and compass (on TRD), new alarm...blah blah..lol, the payments i calculated with a 13% (i should have lower then that %) i would be paying as much as i did for my creds...we will see lol..

thanks for the input, i really want the eclipse and i read the forum about how it first came out so don't know if they added preouts...i guess i just won't get subs and ill just get some jl audio speakers...do i need an amp for them as well?...

I just checked out that Eclipse head unit, and while I couldnt really find specs (didnt look too hard), I would be really surprised if it didnt have pre-outs.

hey they are a expensive brand and would be retarted if it didnt have pre outs, that would be retarted. Um... as far as what you should get. I highly suggest dynomatting inside of doors, replace stock speakers with jl audio vr's or higher, Also if getting subs dynomat the trunk and stick with jl (w3's are really nice but not real big) Also jl amps are some of the best out there. you could either get a 2 channel amp (if 2 subs) or get a mono amp and bridge them but 2 channel will prob sound better and last longer. Also suggest getting new battery (optima yellow tap). That should do ya besides all wires, rca cables, fuse holder and fuse. If ya live anywhere close to me, I live in tawas michigan i will help ya and got a really good hook up on jl products with warranty! Let me know bro. GOOD LUCK!

haha well ill give ya acouple prices, one what i can get it for and the other what prob cost ya. For two 12in w3's (200) a jl audio 300by2 (330) for a set of jl components vrs (175) and a set of vr 6.5s for back prob around (115) and then dynamat (200) Um... thats all my prices with warranty. And for a enclosure for the subs i would have a jl dealer make one for ya to fit the subs. (anywhere from 150 to 200) And then all wires for around another 75 or so. Thats really good prices around here for jl but could be better around there. Let me know if anything i can do for ya bro. Unstopable_baller24@yahoo.com is my email. later

get a 300/2 for your front components or if you're upgrading front and back go with a 300/4 amp. Then a 500/1 should be good enough for your sub...

yes if you get 1 sub, or even 2 but it will run a lot better and will never over heat or get hot, play for hours. but really ya dont need amp for front, for the price it is expensive for not much notice. All up to u.
