Celica Forums General Discussion Interior A/C bulb LED?

How do I remove the a/c bulbs for the dash in order to replace them with an LED? What kind of LED to I get from RadioShack? I need the voltage and milli amps to compute the resistance so I don't burn out the LED.

There's not replacement for those bulbs.

If you want to change the color to red use bulb covers or use film

But if your problem is a bulb, you may need to get a new complete A/C board (I guess around $100), and replace it is a bitch

you guys got a link to "how to replace the cig light with a different one", i wouldn't mind having pictures.

i jsut put a 4" cold cathode back there. i couldnt get the bulbs out to i kinda broke them

i just replaced mine wiht a blue led (it already came with the resistor on it) you can get them just about any place (mine came from best buy, 4 for $15). the others i want to use for my heat/ac controls. and to replace the bulbs that are in my oil, water temp, and volt meter, because those look more orange then red.
