tell him like this..."Relax kid slap" It's because of your hard earned money that you got this car. You can't let your man tell you to trade it in for a mustang gt so he can drive it all the time.

Yeah, exactly. If I were mod, this would be locked. Then again, mods don't do shit around here.

well if anyone was actually paying attention to the person that actually STARTED the post... you would realize that i said that i knew i was asking for any and all comments by posting the original topic. so i don't care what people say, i just ignore the stupid ones and take to heart the ones that actually mean something.

that's what everyone should do instead of getting all in a hissy fit about everything... wtf

Never heard that before, but very funny. I'll have to pass it on to a couple people I know with Stangs.

To the originator of this topic, please don't let a car come between you two. Having lost someone I've been with for so long over something stupid, a car is nothing. Just sit down, the two of you, and figure out what's best for the UNION (the two of you as a whole).

one of my ex's used to complain all the time about my 3000GT and how i should get rid of it because it has high miles... i just told him to shut up... i was keeping the car forever and there was nothing he could say to change my mind... I am the one who put the miles on the car in the first place and mileage doesn't mean much unless you're gonna sell it... especially when your dad owns a body/repair shop and salvage yard... parts are cheap for me... that car is my baby... dad gave it to me for my 16th birthday and i will NEVER get rid of it... eventually he (my ex) shut up about it... haha..

if you have something you really love.. then your fiance should RESPECT your decision to keep it... and he especially shouldn't say you should get rid of it so he can get something HE wants... that's messed up... sure it's okay to SUGGEST it... but he shouldn't press the issue if it's not something you want... tell your boy to get his head out of his ass...

that's a nice thought... but when an issue like this is being pressed... it's probably more than the car... if i had a boyfriend that was trying to make me give up something i wanted to get something he wanted... i would see that as him being selfish.. and inconciderate of me.. and THAT is a BIG relationship problem in my opinion...

lol yeah for real, neva let a guy tell you what to do, not me or anyone. Your free to live ur life they way you want to. Plus by all means don't sell any car just so he can have one, thats just crazy. spineyes

Unless you need a practial car because of kids or something, I see no reason to give up the Celi. Keep the Celi and get ur issues worked out between each other or don't get married, please don't. happywink

I don't want anyone to end up like me. spineyes

why would they lock this thread in the first place?? i haven't seen anybody breaking any rules... she asked for people's opinions and they're giving them to her... she even said that's what she wanted...

Say him that in Italy gas is $1.5/1 liter. That is $6/1 gallon.

And Celica is fast enough for the gas it consumes.

LOL you guys are hilarious.

I guess there was some misunderstanding between he and I... he thought my silly obsession was with the actual celica that I own... not Celicas in general. He didn't know I actually care for Celicas and not just the car sitting in my driveway because it's "mine".

And he explains this AFTER we've gotten in like 5 serious arguments about it... go figure...

So now that we're both on the same page, he's confessed that he loves Celicas too and really has a lot of respect for them because he's been reading up on them. He's learned that they really CAN be fast wink And we actually have plans for after we get married in July:

He's going to sell his truck (which he had planned on anyway) for extra money, and I'm going to sell my Celica and buy a GTS 6-speed which I originally would have gotten if I had the choice.

I would normally be OK with keeping & modding my GT, but right now it has so many problems that I'm pretty much starting out in the hole and not brand new... so I dunno. I'm gonna do it right, and do it ALL OUT.
