As some of you may know, I have been having tranny hiccups over the life of my car thus far...and so far I've been able to get them to do work under warranty... At 24,000 miles the bearing in 3rd, 4th, and 5th went out, and they ripped it out and replaced everything
...and now at 54,000 miles I had a grind going into 5th gear
...took it to my dealer (one of the rare good ones), and even left my mods on it...(Tater's hood, AEM CAI, and exhaust - I also have the 11:1 internals in my GT...but they don't know anything about that...
)anyway, they replaced all of 5th gear, and went to drive it...they said it still has problems...and now guess what...without making a big deal out of it at all a toyota rep came out and looked at my car...and approved and ordered a completely new transmission for my car!!!!
...I'm also going to do a new clutch right now to save on install expenses later on...what a great day...
