This has been covered over and over, TRD and Tanabe super racing medallion.

If you look at the numbers for all the big names you will see that only few hp seperate the leaders.

TRD, i wouldn't give money to TPR. Plus you live in Cali and his products are not CARB legal or whatever. IMO RMM looks the best though. and they have about the same gains.

ok well maybe i should do this to make you see.
Quote
RMM Exhaust System GT & GTS ('00-04')
RMM's New Celica GTS Stainless Steel Exhaust System is the best sounding exhaust we have ever heard on a car in this class. Not only does RMM's exhaust sound great, it increases horsepower too! Install RMM's Sport Intake System with their Stainless Steel Exhaust System for an instant 15+ horsepower boost and a puuuurrrfect sound! RMM's Stainless Steel Exhaust Sytem is a perfect fit on the GT and GTS models. If a body kit is installed, the exhaust can be easily modified so that it is flush with the rear valence of the kit.

I would have the super medallion, but the popo would get me around here. I'm in a very "tuner unfriendly" environment. But I agree, they're great product! thumbsup

No way man, I'm the ricer! Lovin' it too! But, I do want to say this: exhaust tuning is not rocket science, the internal combustion engine is a big fan motor, the more air you can pass through it, the faster you will go. As exhaust go, the wider (not to extreme) and straighter you can make it, the better.

Damn, exhaust threads are exhausting! thumbsup

Yeah, I'm pretty sure TRD's are made by HKS, but that wasn't even the one he was talking about. TPR's muffler was made by magnaflow, but not the piping. If it is similar, it is probably coincidental.

we arent associated with magnaflow. We just have them make CUSTOM mufflers for us. The piping is done at a completely different shop. hell, I didnt even know magnaflow had a system out when i designed mine.

yeah really hard to come by TPR. I was told to paypal them for an intake so i did. then the price supposedly went up. which the previous statement was an implied contract. then i was refunded my money and told they wouldn't have the next batch done for a while. I'de mod your car and not think about TPR until they get established and have a smoother operation. No offense but its not worth the hassle and wait to me.

Exhausts are running smoothly. Its the intakes that are being a bitch.

well guys ill bring out the good stuff, before i start zugzug12 sorry for being a lil immature back there. its your car do wat you like with it, but like you said straiter pipes its better, as you can see here on the pix of the trd exhaust. looks at all the bents, there not that strait.
[Linked Image]
the TPRs design looks almost the same but the pipings is a lot more strait.

TRD has 540 degrees of total bends ... TPR has 450 degrees

give or take 10 degrees on both accounts...

straighter exhausts relate more towards turbo cars rather than our cars...

i know that but how do you explain the gains from the kazuma? that shit is strait piping all the way thru right.

As a member of the maternal order of geeks (Phi Theta Kappa) may I add that the more bends there are the more drag the pipe induces on the exhaust gas, with that being said, there are too many other considerations to take into account such as internal baffling structure of the silencer itself.

My best suggestion is to have a voodoo doctor rub a chicken bone on the exhaust, before the parts are offered up to the car, therefore no evil spirits will hinder the flow! rofl

Or look at the dyno stats on a car that has the mods you have or are going to end with! thumbsup
