I see aem says their tru-power pulley is for 00-03,
I was wondering if it fits the 04gts?
Anyone done this?

yeah im the noob rofl anyway im not think about the crank pulley that is even worse but with the alt pulley you have to beware of having any additional electronics running like a sound system and things of that nature having the optima yellowtop and maybe a grounding kit would be highly reccomended if using this pulley thumbsup

i'm not worried...i was asking why celicadragon was so concerned. i used to have this pulley when i had my GT...it was great. no problems.

i had it on my GTS and had no problems and had stock battery.

there probably wont be problems if the car is close to stock just certain variables

how hard to install? my stock one is pissing me off. well its just the lub in it i guess. my car is less hten a year old and squeeking liek hell fomr the alternator. dont have time yet ot bring it to toyota frown

what kind of squeeking is it? cause my car has been squeekin for the longest time and i can never figure out what it is! angry you think its my alternator?

first i thought it was my shocks or something but it has nothing to do with my shocks/springs...

it's the belt tensioner...use a gatorback belt and you'll be fine..

why woudl i need a new belt already?? i used some silicon lube behind the alternator pully and it made it much quieter but after a while it get louder again frown thats why i think its the pully frown

the celica has a faulty belt tensioner...it's not the pulley. the gatorback belt is built better than oem...use the belt. trust me.

yea same place with mine. i dont understand why when i use the silicon spray ont he pully it gets quiet if thats nto the problme frown and i make sure not to get any on the belt

no mine happens after it warms up. after driving for a while it gets really loud. but initally there is no sound frown so whn i bring it in i am going to drive it aorund for a whiel 1st thumbsup

it doesnt happen continously, its happens in every kind of weather, not really bumps but just uneven roads and it sounds like it is either coming from the passenger side (either in the engine or right front wheel well)...

if you have aftermartket sways, check your endlinks. check your strut assemply and the rubber perch where the spring is.
