I just recently sold my 97 Celica Convrt. Now i'm in a search for a GTS, but can't find any that suit my taste. I try looking for a 2001 but can't never find one. Only the 2000,2002+ but can't never find a 2001 within a 200 mile of my location.

Did Toyota not make as much of the 2001 as the others? Or is it just not my luck?

Also, the 2000-20001 redline 8300RPM correct? But the 2002 as rev limit at 7800? so does this go for 2003,04,05 too?

Redline depends on what transmission. They probably sold tons of 01's. Keep lookin'! thumbsup

i have a 2000 gts six spd. redlines at 8300, i think any 2000+ gts six spd is hard as f*ck to find, it took me 2 years to find a gts around here but i was really lucky,(the first owner just traded it in two days before) since ive only seen one gts on a lot and it was an auto..i do see a lot of gt though

actually redline is at 8000 and rev limiter kicks in at 8300. Just FYI.

Yeh it took me awhile to find one, I went on auto-trader and finally found mine in blue springs missouri which isn't that far from here. So road tripped and drove it and gave the guy the check, only one other owner and I got it with only 21,000 miles. But yeh the GTS's are harder to find especially in any color besides silver!!!But I am glad I waited and found my baby 2000 GTS 6-speed. thumbsup

i think the ratio of gt:gts is like 50:1 i barely see any gts except for mines. every other celi i see is gt. hard to tell tho if a celi is a 2000 or 2001. idunno

I couldn't find a GTS near me, auto or manual. I was looking for a manual GT anyway, but it still took me 4 months to find.
