Wouldn't go power acoustic. Rockford Fosgate or JL Audio are you best bet. 12W3s if you can get your hands on them. Good bass for the money. Mono amps are gonna run ya a little bit, but the power and sound is worth it. thumbsup

ok thanks. so im leaning towards gettin this
2 of these rockford subs = http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2530.html

Alpine amp = http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MAa3OBN80rX...pine+amplifiers [crutchfield.com]

OR
audiobahn amp = http://www.acaraudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_36&products_id=1007

which amp would fully support 2 rockfords the best?

You just don't realize how much you need to know when you look into getting a system.

The ohm load from the speakers has to be equal to the ohm load that the amplifier can handle. Those RF speakers are dual voice coil 4-ohm speakers. You won't understand this, so just take my word for it. Those wire down into either a 1 ohm load or a 4 ohm load. So you have to find an amplifier that is 1 ohm stable or 4 ohm stable.

One other piece of advice. Band names are not always the best in this business. Audiobahn is crap, I wouldn't buy anything from them unless it was one of their super high end amplifiers. They're pretty much all show no go, and I'll argue with anyone on that. JL is definitely good, but you're gonna spend an assload.

I have one 12" that'll outhit that pair of Rockford Fosgates and it's made by Crossfire. I've gotten my two new 12's that'll hang right there with JL, but they're made by Elemental Audio. Just because you've never heard of them, doesn't mean they're trash. thumbsup

Hey i agree with you above you have to know what ur doing. U can get those subs in 2 ohms. But they are ok subs. Um... Fosgate is on the way down but that is still nice subs. But wouldnt pay more then 150 or 200 for one. brand new with warranty, JL is the shit and that is what i will stick behind for ever! Ill take ur two 12s on againt my 13" hehe *grins* you can get four 4 ohm speakers and have it a 2 ohm load but up to u. Stick with 2 ohm speakers and amp if only getting 1 or 2. Hope it helps. Chad
