what does everyone do to wash thier car?
-take it to a drive through carwash
-take it to a hand car wash
-wash it myself
-don't wash it, i let it get filthy and only wipe off the windows when i get gas so i can see.
post your answer and why.

personally, i either take it to a hand wash or do it myself. the hand wash by me does a great job very fast, i typically use them ever 3 or 4 weeks, the week's in between, i do it myself.

My pet gorilla bobo takes care of my ride laughsilly

I hand wash it every other week. I use the spotless rinse setting at the local carwash to rinse it off when it needs it.

The water is so bad in Wheatley that if the water is not wiped off, there will be brown spots all over may baby!!

Seriously, i'd rather wash it, wax it and polish it myself. I wouldn't let no other grease monkey jerk off with my car.

I wash it myself. I won't let anyone else touch my car!

Just wondering, do you have to do anything special for Carbon Fiber stuff? I just put on my hood, mirror covers and rear lic plate garnish and I don't want to mess them up.

My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10
of those speedchips! I figure if 1 gets me 20hp then 10 will get me 200hp!

My celica I handwash... car washes have too much pressure and can grind the dirt right into your car causing scratches and marks... not to mention most of them use recycled water which is dirty!

My sebring I also handwash... but mostly because the door doesn't shut all the way... and I took it to an automatic carwash one time and got blasted in the back of the head with a crapload of water when the sprayer came by the door... yeah that was fun... I do take that to carwashes sometimes though.. I don't care as much about the paint on that one...

the car wash i use is automatic for washint it, but than people working there come by and hand dry the car and polish the rims, make the tires nice and black, and clean the windows. they clean out the interior and vacuum all around, and spray a air freshiner in the car. they do a hell of a job with it thumbsup

Mix of hand washing and touch-less pressure car washing.

A wash with, and a good touch up detail spray helps to stretch out the life of a good coat of wax and or polish.

There a number of great car brands on the market right now. Pick one and follow the directions. I prefer the Zaino line of car care products:

I love a good detail day with my car, it's a kind of solace and meditation.

Hand wash here too. Then usually vacuum or do the inside windows/vynl. There's no way I'd put my baby through any sort of automatic carwash. One thing I've found out about the color on my car, Thundercloud Gray, is that dirt really doesn't show very well.
