Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior New Graphics and Painted Rims...

I got new graphics a month or so ago, so I painted my rims gunmetal to match. I finally got to put them on today since I think all threat of snow is past! Not the best pics, the light was weird, but you get the idea. I have a kit that will be painted and installed end of April which will balance out the wing.

Thanks. If you mean the kit, I will have the Blitz on next month. The scoop is Sport-M, of course the tails are TYC. The drop is Tokico springs and shocks, which is 1.25" but can't go lower because of the Blitz. Heres a pic when I test fitted the front last fall before I bought the sides. Like I mentioned, all will be on in 4 weeks.

what kind of paint did you use for the rims?

Duplicolor for the base. And then 10 coats of triple clear glaze so that hopefully it will hold up to the elements.

did you sand and primer the spokes first...?

yes...it was a pain bigtime, but I wanted the paint to last. I also did the wing inserts and the hatch handle housing too. Which I am going to replace because it has a small crack, so I want to get one of the newer ones with the aluminum trim in the Thundercloud color. (unless I can find a Carbon Fiber one).

where did you get the graphics, and can you get them in any other colors???

There was a buy here on this site from 10celica10, but it ended. You could get any color you wanted, but I am sure the buy ended last month. Sorry.
