I don't think $1,000 will be enough for a complete sound system. And it has no use for us to give you a list. You might not like wat we like. Go to a store, tell them what you want for what budget and see what they can offer. And maybe it's wise to search the internet for pictures of installs so you have an idea of what you want. 2 or 3 subs seems pretty much to me. To see my install check this: https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...true#Post111067You'll find a list of the components I used.

Go to www.sounddomain.com [ sounddomain.com] That's a good place for stereo things.

Any of the eclipse 5 series or even the 8 series head unit is way better than that 650MP. subs...who the hell is RE, with a 1000 budget you can sure work something out with some mid end kicker, phoenix gold, rockford fosgate. amp...orion is a good brand but they lost a lot of respect when they almost went out of business but got bought out by Directed now. I say something from the phoenix gold Octane R series or rockford fosgate. with any of the eclipse unit you don't need an outboard crossover. sure audio control makes the best crossover/processor but it's a waste of money with the eclipse. ____________________________________________________________________ will you be upgrading interior speakers or not...with $1000 and no speaker upgrades you can get a good set up going.

There not as small as you think. Resonant Engineering is an up and coming speaker manufacturer that already has proven itself in the competition. Here, www.reaudio.com [ reaudio.com] RE subs are built to withstand beating yet render more that satisfactory sq. The SE series is a street/spl oriented sub, with huge VC's that allow them to handle obscene amounts of power. The HC series is geared more for the sq crowd. More displacement, more xmax, and a flatter bl curve, yet it has outstanding spl when loaded in the proper enclosure. The XXX series is best of both world. Extremely strong motor and huge amounts of power handling capability make it probably one of the best consumer subs. it will undoubtely join the Team RF subs, DD 9500s, W7, and Adire Braham subs as the best of the best. The proof is ther wwith these subs. check out some competitiors profiles, many db drag racers are beginning to use them and they are beginning to win with them. I totally agree that an eclipse 5 series would beat the pioneer in performance in everyway but let's not forget the retail on eclipse headunits. The 8443 and 8053 are alittle much for newbs anyway. I picked the pioneer simply becuase its easy to use and it has all the features necessary. And Orion, where have you been? Yeah they were bought by dei and for the first year they were made for shit in korea. now DEI controls the production and things have only gotten better. The new amps are some of the best they have produced. They are all made of high quality components thicker boards and heavy duty power supplies, and conservatively rated at 13.8volts. BTW, an external crossover would be needed for the jbl 1200.1 regardless of the headunit. The jbl has little to no crossovers so an external subsonic filter would be essential when porting the subs. The orion has a built in subsonic aswell as a pretty impressive crossover section. The jbl is stripped down power. So anyway, yeah you could go mainstream and get products that are thriving off the manufactures reputations, or you could try something new that is building its manufacturers reputation, its your money, and your choice.

That would be decent for some bass more of a sq system espically sealed as it is. also why the 4channel amp? I'd go with a 1/200 if it had to be JL.

The e6450 is a 6 channel amp. It would be able to run 4 x 45 Watts to allow front and rear fade and 150 Watts for the two 10W˜-8's. Or it can be used as a 2x 75 Watts front without fade and 2 x 150 on the bass. The PowerWedge, ProWedge, H.O Wedge are all mono enclosures. A custom stereo enclosure will be required to run this amp in the 2 x 150 subwoofer mode.

jaggon do you work for that new up and comming company you seem to defend them a little too much LoL.
either way the very plain and simple set up JLATD has listed is the best for the money he wants to spend.
and also jaggon I said if you're using an 8 series headunit you don't need an extrenal crossover.

Nah dont work for one, but I used them and know other people that have and their results are undeniable.
I know that the 8443 and 8053 has a lot of features but I didn't know it had a subsonic for the sub out.

no should i do that first? i was not planning on it are you satisfied with the music you get so far in your car if you answer NO then you should upgrade your speakers as well. but for now you should be fine with just a little bit of a kick in teh back and having a head unit with high pass crossover for the interior.

If you wanted to keep the front end stock, you can add the: 500/1 [ jlaudio.com] ($549.95) and plug the CVS210RG-W6v2 [ jlaudio.com] ($799.95) into it. Of course, dont forget the wire: Power [ jlaudio.com] Speaker [ jlaudio.com] Audio Interconnects [ jlaudio.com] Keep in mind that this system will be no appreciably louder than the first on the bass and no louder on the mids and highs. You may need the extra $500 for wire and installation.

1000 is plenty for a full system increasing it to 1500 is even better. There are so many options. What are you looking for, a clean sounding evenly balanced sq system or something for more street bass type system with an emphasis on bass, but with an equally matched mid/high section?

If you could raise it to 1500 I'd say go with a JL 12' sub, JL 500watt amp, and JL XR speakers in the door. Otherwise get a JL 10' sub. The 500 amp still works might be one lower amp wise that will work nicely I can't remember power requirements for the 10' sub. Also again go with JL XR speakers or also check out the MB Quarts for the doors.
