So My celicas not fully wrecked...To make a long story short I was driving home easter night from my Aunts house and of course it was raining, Just as i was comming around a light cornner all the sudden i see this 60 pound black dog just standing there right infront of me. I slammed on my brakes but the rain just made things worse, i went into a slide and hit the dog as it went under my car it tore everything up. My engine is startin to click and not start up now as well... Now i diddent want to hit the dog! i love animals but if i diddent hit the dog it would of been a tree or another car. I wassent speeding i was only going 45mph because of the rain. but its STUPID people that let their animals run freely that just piss me off! their ignorance now is going to cost my insurance company 1,200$ and i have to pay the 100$ deductable. And thats just cosmedic. I have no clue whats wrong with the engine...I did go back to the Dog to see if he was alive but he was dead. I was going to take him to the Vet. I even called animal control to come get the poor thing but they of course were closed because of easter... Heres some Pictures of the Front Bumper,Underbody Neons (or whats left of them) And the Back Bumper...
Heres the 1st Picture Of the Front Bumper

Hope thing goes well Poor dog Good time for a body kit HAHA its a sign that you should drop a body kit on your car... so now the chances of the dog surviving will be better b/c the dog will just barrel roll over not being in contact with the tires...

if you would of dropped into a lower gear and shifted the weight of the car forward during a slight turn while braking to avoid the dog your car wouldn't be in the shape it is.

You could fix the underplastics yourself. It just knocked the little plastic rivets out.

yea what happened to the dog?? sorry to hear bout the accident...now time to upgrade-body kit i mean. if insurance dosent cover the neon, just get led's, they don't break easily, believe me, i broke a tube once and took the led circuit board out, it still works. as for the radiator pic...if its leaking don't drive, if it isnt, keep a very close eye on your temp gauge and keep some water in the trunk just to be safe...

I think hitting any animal is your best bet. If you swerve, then it becomes YOUR fault. THe owners are to blame for their pet being killed. Honestly, it should be THEIR insurance covering it.

yeah that sux. i feel for you. it looks like it might be drivable but i would definitly take it by toyota and just have them look at it and tell you if it is drivable till you get the check from the insurance co. if not then at least you are not putting yourself in a worse position by possibly doing more damage to the car. good luck!

Hey man I'm sorry. I did the same thing coming back from San Francisco up I-80. I was doing about 85. it pushed the radiator back about 8 inches, ripped off the bottom lip and broke the exaust off at the muffler. Cost me around 3500 for the damages and 500 deductible. The worst part is there isn't much you can do about it. Just hold the wheel and try to slow down.

Yah dont feel so bad. THings like this just happen. My friend hit a deer around Cal Poly SLO and it totally messed up his jeep's front end. Another one of my friends hit a deer also in the same area with his Pontiac Sunfire and that jus destroyed his fender, hood , and front bumper. Your lucky that it was just a dog and not a larger animal like a deer. Altho i dunno if there r that many deer in your area. I hope your celica gets fixed soon and that everything works out. Keep your head up and know that things will get better
