mine is when i cought an old couple staring inside my car through the window as my car was parked outside the circuit city parking lot... i dont know why but i saw them and set off my alarm. they both got really spooked and when i walked up to get in the old guy said..." i didnt touch it" lol

that was pretty funny but ive had soooooooo many memorable moments its kinda hard to pick just one.

one of the most memorable time with my celica was at Buttonwillow raceway. I was there with a bunch of dirfters and they were pretty much giving me wierd looks and "clowning" me, but after a couple of laps I got some good stares and some much deserved props.

ummmm i couldn't drive mine for like a month when i first got it... because i had to wait on the taxes and tag... the first time i drove up to where me and my friends hang out and many of them didnt know b/c i didnt tell many people and everyone was like dang... and i was the spotlight of the crowd for like month b/c im the only white gts celica in my town... and i think im the only 6speed celica in my town also

my best moment with my car was when me and my friends went cruzing downtown lookin for some "ho's", and when we passed by a crowd of people everyone turned around and was like "nice celica" and stuff and my friend was in a lightning truck that is really nice and pretty expensive. he got so pissed off that he didnt get one look by the crowd he peeled off in a rage and when we talked about it later he was like "your car is such a bitch magnet it is ridiculous".lol i just love things like that.

One time I was downtown. Traffic was crawling. Then I noticed something as though someone tossed a piece of plastic in the middle of the road. I looked over and I think someone rear-ended the car in front becuase they were looking at my car. I said to my wife "I think I caused that, so lets get the hell outta here" LOL

most memorible moment..ah it was just last month, my freind jesus is the biggest honda fan, anyways he got a pretty sweet civic, not ricy at all, anyways he always liked to talk shit on my celi, saying toyota this and celi that, then one day i went into smiths while he waited in the car, he yelled out hey can i drive around the block, so i said 'ah what the hell sure", when i came out of the store he got out of my car walked over to me, got on his knees and kissed my shoe, and quoted" my apologizes for doubting your car, that was the greatest driving experience in my life" needless to say, he wants to buy a black gts this summer...!! you cant resist the power of the CELI!!

when i remotely started my car in public, people started staring inside...looking for a driver.

i can't remember

A guy at my school offered to have sex with me for my car. I get a lot of stares from younger girls. Another wierd thing, not many people ever want or try to race me, cept that damn RSX Type-S that beat me the other day. I'm stock and he's modded (exhaust at least) and he had an empty gas tank and mine was full, and he still couldn't destroy me.

most definitely running my friend in his 90 notchback mustang...he's putting 380-400 to the wheels...anyway, I ran him and we started off I he got me off the jump, barely because he had no traction, but he said he shifted to third and looked back and I wasnt there, then he looked to the side, I my front bumper was at his door...of course then he down shifted the back of the car went a little sideways and he took off, but he said he was so impressed and surprised that I kept up with him as well as I did...

and also remote starting around a big group of people...scares the shit outta some people...

pppssstt...they were still 'clowning you'...

Like every one else I have a ton of great memories with my car, such as out running the cops at 125mph, at least two near-death situations while passing semi's, racing various cars, late night cruises to the "big city," day long cruises up country and so on, almost all of which where with my girl.

But I remember when I first got my Celica like it was yesterday, I had paid for the car the day before in the afternoon and they had to put the clear coat and other sprays on so I was forced to pick it up the next day, so I got a lift there and talked to the dealership owner and he gave me the keys and sent me around to the back. Sitting there was a brand spanking new, completely flawless black GTS, I got in and turned the key to start it, a great sound it was and the odometer read of only 14km's it had hardly been driven at all. I immediately lowered the windows and opened the moonroof and backed out of the parking spot, I then entered the highway and really enjoyed the drive, it felt so much better than the Type-R I had just traded in.

my most favorite memory is when i came out of the theatre with my then gf and caught a homeless person taking a dump on my hood...good times.

Talking to two attractive girls at the toyota dealership when i first bought the GTS, they were going AWOL over my car: "OMG OMG it's soo nice" "I want one!". So i let them sit in it and play around inside.

haha I have too many. Its hard to pick just one.

my favorites are when i'm rolling through neighborhoods and parents are walking with their kids and the kids say "mommy / daddy, lookit the race car!" always makes me smile

or all the double takes i get when im sitting in traffic. pretty much what goes on in guys's heads is (first look) "nice car" and then (double take!) "woah, it's a girls car!"

or (haha there's so many!) im haulin ass through the canyons and everyone at the top can hear me comin up, and they think i'm a guy then they're like ..."woah...that was a girl" i love it!

I don't have any moments where I remember getting compliments (maybe I should start paying more attention to others hehe) Now what I DO notice though is how a lot more people seem to like to speed up and leave themselves JUST enough room between me and the car in front to cut me off! What the hell do you get outta that?

But my most memorable moment was the day I got the car. The drive back across the bridge was interesting because I was trying to figure out where the hell every thing was a how to work it Are you kidding me, I flipped out when my lights came on by themselves! (keep in mind I upgraded from a 96 sunfire to a 97 altima-which was my trade-in)

the first day i had her, i was walking out to my new baby sitting out side grocery store and some guy was sitting in his Montero Sport with his window down and said "hey nice car". Now of course sure some of you have heard this said to you with other cars of yours besides ur Celi. but my other car was the biggest POS '90 4dr Volvo, the only thing that people said to me about it was "move that piece of $h!t of the road!!!" when it would break down about once a month. oh and a few months after I had it I was coming out of Wal-Mart, when some Cop with his window down was sitting close to it, and started asking things like what kind of car it is, what year and so on. Now when he first started asking this stuff I was like "what the F*%k you have to be kidding me i haven't done a thing wrong", but he soon said hey nice car looks good. And those two people's comments are the only ones out of a couple dozen others that have ever ment anything to me [/color]

From what I gather you have to bypass the clutch. Hope you can do it on your own though because there aren't many people that will touch it in a professional install.

Mine is pretty funny. My name here on the boards comes from my license plate "CRBN BLU". Hopefully, most celica people know the meaning there. I get a lot of people asking what it means. Carribbean blue is a common guess. Cordon Bleu is pretty common. But the most memorable guess was from my mom's boss:

"Does your license plate say Cornbread Blue?"

Not exactly sure where she got that. If she's dyslexic, it might fly. I played it off like I wasn't laughing on the inside.

i dont know where to start, but one time i was in the mcdonalds parking lot and i opened up the door and there was some girl standing right there and she was like, "ahhh thats so hott" in one of those voices like she was having an orgasm. lol. and also theres the moments when i sit inside somewhere looking out the window at some kids trying to look into my car and i make it beep and turn it on and they get scared lol.

it works on so many levels!!!

i went on a road trip one time with my ex and got a little lost ended up asking for directions in some remote lonely "hick-town" and a little kid about 6 or 7 yrs old rolled up on his bike to my window and said .." hey mister... thats a nice car"
the kids around my block always point to me and yell out Gts... lol thats all they now of the car because its pretty much debadged except for the gts logos.

mine isnt hard at all just about this time last year my g/f (wasnt gone out with my g/f at this time last year yet) was cleaning my seats then we started hooking up that was the best memory

Mine was probably when these 4 old guys rolled up next to me at a stop light, the guy asked me how much i have put into the car and how much it was worth. I said i have only put about $2k into it and for sale brand new i said something like 23-25k when it first came out, then he said, wow i never knew you could get a porsche that cheap! I laughed and said, its not a porsche its a toyota celica. Light turned green and we went on our ways.

i have so many but here's a few...

-i was at the dealership one day and some black guy asked me "what kind of rotary you got under there?"

-i was turning a corner where a group of chicks were at, i swear their heads did a 360 degree as they kept their attention toward my car.



as for the "CRBN BLU" question..
